An unusual pack of puppies have been causing a stir at Monmouth County Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) thanks to their unexpected genealogy. These adorable pups are thought to be a mix of goldendoodle and pit bull, affectionately referred to as "pidoodles" or "doodlepits" by the staff. Their unique lineage has quickly charmed many, bringing smiles and sparking interest among potential adopters.
These puppies were surrendered to the Monmouth County SPCA by owners who could no longer care for them. Barbara Lovell, a representative from the society in New Jersey, shared, "This is why we like to encourage people to spay and neuter their dogs." The puppies arrived at the shelter skinny and in dire need of a bath. It seems that their previous owners did not socialize them much, but despite this, they are friendly little babies.
Whether they are being called "dits" or "pitoods," the five-month-old puppies are bursting with energy. Lovell describes them as "active, gangly little pups with sweet temperaments." The shelter estimates that they will grow into medium-sized dogs and become delightful conversation starters for their future families!
The puppies have been fully spayed, neutered, and vaccinated, and they are eager to meet potential new families. On social media, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many users expressing their delight at the sight of these unusual dogs. Comments like "Cutie pitoodies of course!" and "Designer pitties!" have flooded the shelter's Facebook page, showcasing the public's affection for these mixed-breed pups.
Each puppy's unique personality shines through, and they are sure to bring joy to any household. As Lovell mentions, the only requirement for prospective adopters is to provide a loving home where these active dogs can play and thrive. However, she emphasizes the importance of proper training, especially for puppies from rescue situations.
Lovell urges potential adopters to commit to training their new pets, as this can significantly impact their behavior and integration into a loving home. "These puppies deserve owners who have the time and patience to teach them to live their best lives as treasured pets," she asserts. With the right care and attention, these adorable pups will undoubtedly grow into loving companions.
