Comic book fans don't agree on much, but when it comes to Avengers: Infinity War, I think we can all agree that Loki is a conniving bastard. And you know who isn't one unloyal motherf---er? Agent Coulson. If Marvel can find a way to keep making Loki a scapegoat villain, they need to find a way to bring Agent Coulson back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe so S.H.I.E.L.D. can get revenge. Do us all a favor. The only time I want to see Loki again is when Coulson kills him.
Coulson died when Loki stabbed him with the scepter in The Avengers, only to be resurrected by Nick Fury on Agents of SHIELD. He hasn't returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe since. (He was indirectly mentioned in Age of Ultron when Theta Protocol sent a Helicarrier to rescue the Avengers during the Battle of Sokovia.) Fury appeared on Agents of SHIELD, and it was great, but hearts would melt if Coulson appeared in the MCU just one more time. At least that's the hope year after year. And with SHIELD celebrating the 100th episode during its fifth season, and Infinity War premiering in late April... I mean...
As Coulson was bleeding out on the floor of the helicarrier, he told Loki he "lacked conviction" and surprised him with a blast from a weapon made with the Destroyer from Thor. That prototype gun went on to become known as "Coulson's Revenge," but Coulson coming back to the MCU should also be out of respect. In The Avengers, Coulson's death is actually what brings the team together. His last words were, "This was never going to work if they didn't have something to…" and Nick Fury kind of takes all the credit. But if Coulson didn't die, the team would never have got on the same page.
