Donald Trump's Near-Death Experience: The Shocking Rally Incident In Pennsylvania

A shocking new video shows how close Donald Trump was to death when he was shot during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania last week. The former President was on stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday when he was shot in the ear. He was then seen being quickly escorted off stage by the Secret Service with blood clearly visible on his ear and face, but not before he had turned towards the cameras to raise his fist and shout "fight" three times.

The suspected gunman, now identified by the FBI as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was shot and killed by the Secret Service at the scene. A rally attendee was also killed in the shooting incident and two others were critically injured.

Following the dramatic events, a computer-generated 3D visualization made by social media account Point Consciousness was posted to TikTok, quickly going viral across social media. The video maps Trump's head movement and shows a bird's eye view of the bullet skimming his ear a second after the former president changed position. The 3D graphic also shows the path the bullet would have taken through his brain if Trump hadn't moved his head at the last second.

The video was captioned, "A head turn away from chaos." Trump appeared onstage on Monday at the first night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee wearing a bandage partially covering his right ear. In an interview with the New York Post, he confirmed that a chunk of his ear was taken out by the bullet. "The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle," he said. "I'm not supposed to be here, I'm supposed to be dead."

He also revealed that he had turned his head slightly to the right a second before the bullet was fired to read a chart on illegal immigrants. Trump said that as Secret Service agents led him off stage, he still wanted to continue speaking to supporters, but the agents told him it wasn't safe and they had to get him to a hospital. "They did a fantastic job," he added. "It's surreal for all of us."

On Tuesday, CNN reported that U.S. officials recently learned that there was a plot to assassinate Trump by Iran, citing a U.S. National Security official speaking on the condition of anonymity. According to CNN, the assassination plot prompted officials within the U.S. Secret Service to increase security protections around Trump's campaign rallies ahead of the 2024 presidential election. The CNN report also stated that there was no information to connect the Iranian plot to the assassination attempt on Saturday.

The Iranian Mission to the United Nations disputed the report, saying in a statement to Newsweek that "these accusations are unsubstantiated and malicious." Trump is expected to speak at the Republican National Convention this week. It's unclear if he will talk about the Iranian assassination plot during his speech.
