Kathy Griffin has concerned her fans with a message shared to social media. The comedian took to Instagram and X, formerly Twitter, telling her combined 2.6 million followers on the platforms that she is "melting down." "My life happens to be a bit of a s*** show right now. Mental health stuff," the 63-year-old said. "But you know what calms my a** down? Stepping on that stage. Seriously, I am pretty much melting down most the time until my feet hit that stage. So thank you for Friday in Norwalk, Connecticut, and thank you for Saturday for two shows in Ptown, Mass [Provincetown, Massachusetts].

Griffin is currently on tour in the United States and Canada, with dates scheduled through the end of the year. She performs at District Music Hall in Norwalk on August 23 and the Town Hall in Provincetown, Massachusetts, on August 24. One of her two shows in Provincetown is sold out.

In the comments on both Instagram and X, many offered messages of support. "Hold strong, Kathy. Breathe. Be tender with yourself," actress Debra Messing said on Instagram. "Then keep getting on that stage. When you're offstage it's just one foot in front of the other. You can do it," @anhelmond wrote. "Love you Kathy. We need you, keep making us laugh!" @shelbyan added.

In recent years, the Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List star has been open about her divorce from Randy Bick, as well as her lung cancer journey.

Griffin filed for divorce from her husband in December 2023 after nearly four years of marriage. While reacting to the news on Instagram at the time, Griffin said: "Well... s***. This sucks."
