Meet The Cast and Characters of Top Boy

Dushane — Ashley Walters

Ashley Walters reprises his role as Dushane in Top Boy Season 2. He also serves as an executive producer on the series, alongside co-star Kane Robinson, who plays Sully. At the end of Season 1, Dushane offered his former rival Jamie (played by Michael Ward) an opportunity to work together instead of against one another, establishing their dominance in London's drug network. However, Walters hinted that Dushane is searching for a way out in Season 2, but struggles to escape his lifestyle.

Walters expressed, "I think he’s developed [since Season 1] in the way that he’s looking for a way out. He’s had a realization that he can’t do this forever, and he wants to know what’s next for himself. Is that settling down with Shelley (Simbiatu "Lil Simz" Ajikawo)? Is that having kids? Throughout that journey, he realizes that he has a love for power and the game he's in, and without that, what is he?" Outside of Top Boy, Walters is recognized for his role as NCA Officer Ronnie Pike in Bulletproof, alongside his music career as Asher D.

Sully — Kane "Kano" Robinson

Kano returns as drug boss Gerard John "Sully" Sullivan in the latest season of Top Boy. After turning his back on Dushane and Summerhouse at the end of Season 1, it seemed Sully would try to start anew in Season 2. However, the new season sees Sully grappling with the consequences of his past life.

Outside of his role in Top Boy, Kano is well-known for his music career, particularly within the grime scene. His critically acclaimed 2016 album, Made in the Manor, received a nomination for the Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the MOBOs.
